A walk for MS aNd AuNt "D" AnN

My Aunt D-Ann has MS. Her family invited us to come and join them for a fundraiser walk. Shelby and I, Grandma Deb and Aunt Dawn were part of the crew along with some of Aunt D-Ann's family. The girls put the shirts together and got the whole team one. (D ann's favorite color). The moring started off pretty wet and cold. We brought rain ponchos and many layers to keep us warm. The trail was so pretty and many happy walkers along the way.. RAIN or SHINE it was going to get done. There was buckets of rain coming down and when they sounded the horn to begin the rain stopped. Before we were to the finish line we were taking off some layers of clothing the sun was peeking through the wet clouds and it was a Beautiful morning. Thanks Hoopes family for inviting us to join in for the fight for a cure of MS... WE LOVE YOU AUNT D ANN Your the BEST!!!!
Scott's grandma Wanda also had ms we thought alot and about her today also. I have been told that she was a fighter through her struggles with the disease. I can see my Aunt D-Ann being the same way. We hope that there will be a cure soon in the NEAR future!!

NO MORE TONSILS!!!

Spring break was Micks weekend to recover. YEAH them darn Tonsils are out of there, they have been a pain in the neck for months now.. Wednesday morning we arrived at the Hospital of course mick was in his john deere jammies and his john deere blanket with him and walked in to the surgery room where the best nurse at the Hospital was there (Rachel Rudd) to take care of him in her John deere cap with green john deere socks and green john deere green blanket to send home with him.. Then Layne comes in his John Deere cap and Dr Rod says he will put his John Deere scrubs on.. I think it must be known that Mick is a BIG John Deere fan..

Mick was the best patient at the hospital he was so brave the only tears he had was after Rachel left the room when she was done with his I V. and that was only a couple of tears. The surgery went great and them big Tonsils were much happier in the bottle than in Micks throat.

AND then the excitement began. The nurse came and told mick that he could get dressed and we could wait until the Dr. came to check on him and then we could take him home.... no more than 2 minutes after she told him to get dressed he was done and headed for the escape route. I turned around and he was gone. Scott thought he was just checkin things out NOT!!! I seen him near the door and we made eye contact then he was gone in a flash like a dead run for the exit doors. Picture this me chasing this little guy in a new hospital we get him stopped and he says "I just want to go HOME now!" We patiently wait in the breezeway while dad gets the car and the doctor comes there at the front doors to release this impatient little boy who want to go Home NOW!!! Dr Rod says "Mick I have never had a patient literally run away and escape from the hospital, you are the first for this one. Good memories mick we are still laughing over this one... He is doing great and ready to get back to normal. It is probably a good thing the weather hasn't been the best because he wants to be outside.

SpRinG tIMe

We have had a fun but cold springtime with our calves. The excitement waiting and seeing the new calves is so much fun for our Family. We love this time of year with the new babies and there moms taking care of them. It is such a little miracle to watch and especially for Scott and I to share this experience with our kids.. The kids love it. With all the fun there always comes lots of work to be done also. Corrals to be cleaned, animals to be fed, nighttime watch just in case one cow or heifer has trouble, beds strawed and more. Our kids are such good little workers it really takes each of them doing there part to make it all happen and work for our family. They are sure to make it fair when it comes to the work nobody gets out of it. Hahahaha We love that we can share our love of agriculture with our kids and the love that they each have for it also.

These are a few of my favorite pictures of Mick he is such a good helper but he especially loves his dog BoZo. He is so proud that BoZo will dance with him and that he is the one that taught BoZo to dance. Mick has his dad's dancing feet for sure!
