YARD WORK

It is FINALLY coming together THANKS to my parents that showed up un expectedly on a monday night to give of there time to help me out with something I had not found the time to get accomplished on my own... Talk about swallowing your pride and accepting the help they were so willing to give, it brought tears to me when my parents showed up the next night and the next night also to help FINISH what we started.. My dad called me after the second day and ask if I was going to be home, that he had a surpise coming to your house so if possible could you be there..I was jumping up and down with excitement when the semi pulled into my yard and started dumping rock!!! I have had this vision for years now and my SWEET hubby was having a hard time seeing the same thing I was seeing ( you know what I mean with some visions and men right). Well there was lots of hours put in and some shoveling and rakeing and pulling weeds but now we have some LOW maintence yard going and if I say so myself it looks AWESOME!!! There are many things my parents have taught me and one important one is" when you start something you finish it" so it is well on its way to the finish line now we can just add a few flowers pots and BEAUTIFUL Flower baskets that Shaunie has helped with and ENJOY for the summer!!!

THANKS MOM AND DAD and CHAD and SCOTT for ALL of your HELP

I LOVE YOU ALL TONS!!!!

Farm Days

Colter is in the top left corner, Melissa and Roger enjoying an ice cream after they served all the kids of course. The girl in the pink is not quite sure she likes the smell of the barn (I don't blame her). Bottom left: Doug proudly showing the kids how they milk the cows.

North Park Kindergarten has been coming to the farm for 32 years. Mr. Manning started this field trip when Scott was in his kindergarten class and it is still continueing on. The kids come to see the baby animals, see how the cows are milked, the milk tank, they also walk down the road to the cows (soon to have babies) and before it is all done Grandpa Doug always provides an ice cream cone. We all want to help be apart of this day it is so fun to see the kids reactions of the sights and smells of a farm. Many of these kids that come on this field trip have never been on or near a FARM. This is a good excuse for a sluff day from school for our kids they LOVE to help Grandpa out on this day! We hope they continue with this field trip it is always a good experience for those kids and adults to remember where the food comes from that is on there plates. Scott loves that saying

Memorial Day

Scott and I took the kids to Snowville to visit the cemetary, we used to go every year with his family when we were first married and have not been there for years. I have a cousin buried there and scott has his Great Granparents there. It was fun to hear the kids ask questions about different families buried there and check out all the OLD headstones. The cemetary looked Beautiful we were glad it had been raining because when we pulled in there was a sign that warned us to "Watch for Snakes" . We were also glad they had a map of all the names of people buried there, that was an AWESOME Eagle project for some young man.

It just isn't Memorial Day with out visiting the cemetaries and having a Bar-B-Que. The cemetaries were all Beautiful there are many hours spent working, mowing and watering at the cemetaries it is a very THANKLESS job. This year we didn't help with Bothwells my in-laws did it and it looked Beautiful. THanks Doug and Tamera a job WELL DONE!!!!

You can't go to Grandma Debs and Granpa Jim's without a game going on. The kids LOVE there back yard. This is where it all happens...

BROTHERS

ONE BUSY LITTLE GUY

This little Bear is growing so fast. I love babies when they are changing everyday except that it goes by to fast. I have felt guilty not being any help to my sister in-law and this new baby. It just seems like I haven't had two seconds to give to her. Saturday after the ball games and when we got shaunie all ready and gone to the dance we snuck over to Chad and Wanda's to spend a little time. It was so fun to hold that Little Bear I was changing his bum and I was not quick enough before he pead all over the place. "SILLY BOYS" Thanks for sharing them cute boys with us

Now Colter is one busy boy, he always wants to show you something he can do or something to see. Ever since he was little he takes your pinky and pulls you to where he wants you. He is so fun to watch and play with, he wants to be just like the Big kids. We brought the baby a suprise and couldn't not bring BIG BROTHER one to. SIDE WALK CHALK he had so much fun drawing or asking the big kids to draw certain things, he had chalk from head to toe before he was done. Colter is adjusting to having a baby brother in the house as long as he has is daddy, cheetos, dunes or mom he is Great.

Last Night was RED & WHITE dance. Casey wanted to take Shaunie to one of her school dances so he made the trip up here for the dance. Shaunie had to work most of the day. Casey stopped in Kaysville to watch Mick play some ball on his way here THANKS CASEY!! Shaunie had an appointment to get her hair done @ 3:30 casey tagged along with her then they came home made cookies, hung out and got ready to go to dinner and the dance. They looked so cute and had lots of fun.

I don't think there is any position that SHELB can't play. She did it all this week and give it her whole heart and strength. Shelby is becomeing such a team player this year. SHe is with a different team and yes it does have its ups and downs but she is getting so many more opportunities to do it ALL. She tries to keep her team on the UP side and is trying to improve her own abilities on the field. Shelby you played AWESOME and I couldn't be more proud of you. I love to watch you play GOOD JOB SIS!!

Shaylie Bug is also a little ball player. She plays an AWESOME left fielder. She is always talking to her team and letting them know where the ball is and going. She got hit at the plate and fought through it. Shaylie has had a rash ALL over her body and it itches and is uncomfortable she did her best to not let it bug her. Shaylie I love you and am so proud of you keep up the GOOD WORK you are improving every time you play. I love that you keep the team cheering and encouraging every player you ROCK sis!!

Saturday morning we woke up to RAIN.. Some of the kids were sleeping outside and they were getting drenched, but they were sleeping right through it (they must of played to hard) . I literally had to drag Shaylie out of her wet sleeping bag, her head was sopping wet and she was still sleeping wondering why I was waking her up so early...

Scott brought these heaters and they were definately USED Thanks hubby for always being PREPARED I love ya. No one likes to be COLD and Wet. Saturday afternoon Scott, Joe and Heidi took all the wet blankets to the laundry mat to dry them so we had dry blankets to sleep with. THANKS GUYS!!

We went to Spansish Fork last week for a Jr. LiveStock Show. Our kids love this, it takes lots of hours and lots of work to get ready for one of these shows. It all pays off when we finally arrive and the FUN begins. The Summers family let us adopt a couple of pigs and show them this year. Shaylie and Shelby had fun showing there pigs and by the pictures you can see we had fun watching. Thomas on the Fence checking out the pigs coming up close and Nicholas wanting in Scott's jacket to stay warm. He kept saying "you need to snuggle tighter I am still kinda cold" and then he would giggle.

It is so fun to go with Joe and Heidi's family our kids are all around the same age or the same age and they all have a good time together. Usually the only arguments are between the brothers and sisters and not to many because everyone has a friend. Pretty good when there are eight kids, LOVE IT. The kids are getting funner and funner each year.

Shelby did double duty she also took her Heifer down and showed her along with Shaunie that took one of hers. They did pretty good. Shelby got 2nd in her class and 3rd over all. Shaunie got 3rd in her class. The girls are good showman and seem to enjoy it. Other than when there dad gets stressed, nervous, anxious and etc. He is working on that he says. The girls do 90% of the work and mom and dad sit back and watch (they are pretty picky when it comes to there animals) It is so fun to watch them learn and Have fun while doing it.

The parking lot seems to attract many. They love to always be busy and invite all who want to join in with the fun. Volley ball, 4 Square, roping, playing ball or just hanging out. There are always new friendships made and old ones reaquainted.

These pictures tell it all.

Wow she is growing up so fast she really loves that she is taller than mom now, and loves that she can share clothes and shoes with her older sister. She loves to drive around Bothwell and run errands or help at the farm just so she can drive.
