Watch Out World

CUTE Bear River FFA CHICKS

Bear River FFA Shaunie loves everything about it. The friends, the advisors, activities, conferences, mtgs., and now Nationals. Last year she was the cub President this year she is the Assistant Secretary. Shaunie was able to go to nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was gone for 5 days it seemed longer though we all missed her. Though their was much less argueing at our homestead. The first night I talked to her she sounded a little homesick they had a long day of layovers and lots of traveling was done I am sure she was tired also.

BYE GIRILS HAVE FUN- Be Good, Be Safe, Remember who you are and what you stand for, Have patience, Respect others and others property. Remember I LOVE YOU!

Shaunie was involved with the Agri Science Team. Her and Colby had done a project with Tarps and what was the best solution for farmers to secure there tarps. She did an awesome job on the reports and the posters and she felt good about presenting it also. They had to win at State level in order to be able to compete at Nationals. She thought the interview was the most stressful. GOOD JOB SIS! We are proud of you and the hard work you do. Keep it up! It will pay off in the end we promise.

Flow Rider

Shelby, Shaunie, Mick, Casey (shaunie's friend) and Shaylie

Tonight was our Newman Halloween Fun Night and indeed it was fun. Grandma T and Grandpa D Hosted the party and took us to Fat Cat's
Flow Rider in Ogden. It is just like surfing but you are in side and the water is not deep at all. You get your self steady and let the water take you for the ride. They rented the ride for an hour we had it to ourselves for the most part and the kids had a blast. Of course at first they were a bit nervous but once they got their feet wet they were riding over and over. Next time I will be riding for sure. Thanks Grandma T and Grandpa D. Also after the Flow Rider we went to Pizzeria and had dinner Grandpa was going to treat us but Uncle Max beat him to it. Thanks EVERYBODY for the FUN night.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Jenny Phillips Fireside

Tonight we had an amazing and talented sister come and share her testimony with us. Jenny Phillips music has always inspired me I love her cd's. She has a sweet, kind spirit about her that I have always loved I couldn't wait for my girls to share this with me. After the meeting we were feeling bad that we didn't bring our book "The Parable of the three Princesses" with us to have jenny sign it, but we were able to get a hug from her instead and I thanked her for the inspiration that she gives to me and others. I wish I could have had a picture taken though. I want to tell my girls how proud I am of each of you and what sweet spirits you have thank you for choosing me to be your mom. I know that it is a challenge everyday of our lives to do good and stay on the right side of the line, remember WE are all Daughters of a King that loves you and I love you. Thank you girls for coming tonight to the fireside, it was awesome! I am so blessed to have 3 beautiful daughters and blessed that my mom, tamera and karen came with us also. We were filled with the spirit and so grateful that we went. I hope that every one that was there felt the same as I did.

Sunday nights we have dinner at the newmans home and then FHE at the coombs'. We don't like to miss either one but we are glad that everyone made the small sacrifice and came to the fireside it was well worth it. Thanks grandma T. for having dinner early so we could get a good seat, thanks guys (and melissa) for cleaning up. Sorry Grandpa Jim we will make it up to you and have FHE again. Love ya Family

4 Day Weekend

What a great weekend we had! Thursday the kids and I went to the Dentist (UGH). Good news and bad news. Bad news 5cavities, 4cavities and 3cavities from the girls. GOOD NEWS 0cavities for Mick and I and the best news is that our dentist is back in town. We love Dr. Gardner and are so HAPPY he is back in Tremonton. The kids thought maybe he wouldn't have the cool t.v.'s in the ceiling to watch while he checks their teeth but he did and they were so excited his office is beautiful and has fun ladies in there that help him, nobody really likes to go to the dentist but it sure makes it easier to go when you like the Dr. and the staff. (it sounds like I am a salesman or something oops)

Friday we cleaned up up outside (mick and mom) the funny thing is though sometimes it is a mystery around here. How come we can collect so much junk? Mick and I burned alot of trash we loaded the small trailer twice with junk and moved stuff and returned stuff to the farm that mysteriously showed up over here to our place. The tractor was here so Mick and I took advantage of it and used it to move a few things. Mick hooked a chain (if you could have watched him it was just like watching his dad or grandpa do this he must watch evry move they make because I didn't have to help in any way) to the bucket and hooked it to an old baler part that was worthless to anyone not even a decent looking antique that I would keep. We started heading to the farm Mick driving the tractor of course me just sitting behind him just in case he needed any help. We pull into where we needed to dump this and Grandpa Doug jumps onto the tractor and asks us "why are you bringing this crap over here to the farm" Mick says "Grandpa we are just bringing your crap back to the farm" Doug and I were laughing so hard because Mick was as serious as he could be.

Saturday Shaunie and I spent the morning watching shelby and Shaylie play ball no wins for the day but they were proud of how they played. They each hit dang GOOD! Shaylie got a triple she hit it over the right fielders head AWESOME! Shelby hit hard line drives and made an awesome catch on third she dove for a foul ball and did a tuck and roll and still caught the ball AWESOME!Shaylie was able to catch nearly the whole time. Shelby is teaching her alot behind the plate. They both played awesome defense at both of their games you couldn't ask for more than that GOOD JOB GIRLS!
Yes, after the games us girls went to walmart and did some shopping.
(of course we can't leave Tremonton without finding a wal-mart)

Mick and scott spent the day helping at the farm and then later that afternoon we got the combine ready to head out to Howell to cut some sauflower. Plans didn't work out so that we could go that evening so we went Sunday morning. Which ended up probably better because there was less traffic on the freeway. Mick and Scott was in the combine and Shelby and I pulled the header behind the truck. Our top speed was 16.3 miles an hour it took us an hour and a half to get were we need to get. Then we tried to cut some (the land owner Larry Miller was very persitent on us cutting ) and realized we had a hole in the gas line. Maybe this happened because it was SUNDAY ! So we had to quit and headed home. Just before we went to dinner Mick had been promised for three days that we could take him to ride his dirt bike on some trails we had only about 30 minutes before we had to be to grandmas so we took him and these pictures just tell it all . He better not go again with out his gear (boots and chest gear) because I am afraid next time he will be even more daring. He caught some air on a jump leaned to far to one side and tipped the bike. He jumps up and puts his hands in the air and yells "yee haw" he was so excited he drove over to us (his audience of course) and asks "did you guys see that jump it was awesome wasn't it". I only held my breath a few times watching him ride. The smile on his face was so big the rest of the night I am sure this won't be the last time coming to ride on these hills.

We ended this weekend with lots of smiles.
I LOVE MY FAMILY Thanks for the Great Weekend!

I'm a Esme! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.
Okay I am hooked way to go to whoever started this I think it may have been Katie B who tricked me into this reading thing I am not much of a reader but I have loved these books and it has been so fun sharing, and chattin with those that have read them.

"I FARM SO YOU CAN EAT"

This is one of Scott's favorite sayings. There are always some complaints towards farmers at sometime but for the most this saying says it all. What would we do without the farmers. Farmers what hard workers they are and how grateful we are to be apart of this generation. Our family just finished up there fall harvest of corn chopping and I just wanted to share some great pics. Everyone is involved some how or another with this harvest. Dougs felocity is "MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK". There are always helping hands around and Doug and Roger are grateful and appreciate all the help they get. To family, friends and neighbors it all can get done.

SOCKS

Where do the socks all go. I think that I have a sock monster in my washer and dryer that likes to eat our socks or just one sock at a time.

Shaylie and Mick were given the task of mating the socks last week. We try to make it into a game or a race. Who can mate the most in an amount of time or who gets the most mates gets a prize. The kids think they should get money for every mate but come on really just look at this pile I would be broke with that idea.
The final number of mates were 83 WOW! Way to go shaylie and mick you both get a prize! they were both so proud they took a picture before and after. They wanted to have proof to show mom and dad when we got home what they had done. GOOD JOB! We love you and am sure glad that we will all have socks to wear in the morning.
(the prize is you will have socks to wear in the morning hahahahah j.k.)

T.G.I.F

Well, I am so glad that it is FRIDAY we look forward to fridays here at the Newmans. We made it through another week of school, Mick has made it I should say. He has had a hard time adjusting to school this year, he tells us that he needs to be helping granpa at the farm, then he tells us he misses Mrs. Stuart (1st grade teacher she is awesome) , then he says he has too much homework. We keep encouraging him that he needs all the education he can get. He says "I am going to be a farmer and that I already know how to read and count and thats what I need to know to being a farmer and milking cows. (scary he is only seven) Tamera (scott's mom) says that scott was the same way all through school. Wish us luck that we can get mick through school. He has some BIG shoes to fill.

Fridays always bring some kind of excitement here at our house. Corn mazes to adventure, church volleyball (it has been so much fun), plan a game or two and the usual. There seems to be a friend or 2 or 3,4,5 show up to hang out. Now that the weather is turning we try to get a movie in. The latest ones are Baby Mama and Made of Honor we give both both of them a thumbs up.

Last friday I called Scott to see where he might be and when he thought he would be home I had made dinner and was hoping he would be home soon. He said "I am in Ogden still" me: who are you b.sing. with tonight head home, scott:"I am not b.s. I am just workin on something" I could tell he was up to something his voice gives him away he can't keep a secret very good. So I proceeded to get it out of him what he was working on I started to get so excited talking to him that my kids were asking "mom whats wrong, mom what is going on, mom why arae you doing the happy dance" !!! Scott suprised me with a new camera. I had kind of been throwing the hints that we needed to go shopping for one. Scott's aunt Karen had just got a new one and she would share with me and let me use it at our get togethers. I even had the kids hinting to dad that mom needs a new camera look how much fun she is having with Aunt karen's. What a sweetheart he really does listen to us. hahahaha. I love it and am learning alot with it I am not very good yet but I have time to learn. Thanks Scotty boy, I love you!

Fridays seem to be just a great day! We all are more relaxed at work (most of the time), and we just tend to have a good day knowing that the next day is Saturday and we can do what we really want to do (most of the time)

This post was made for firday October 10th I had to leave and left it to post later that evening then this stupid computer shut down and died for 2 days. Sometimes I hate this darn computer.
