JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH

This is Mick ya we thought wrestling was over but he just can't get enough of it. He wanted to keep wrestling after little league was over. I asked Ted if Mick could come to a couple practices with his jr high league before I took him to the Freemont Tournament and that is where it began. Mick is LOVING to be able to have LOTS MORE mat time. He is wrestling older boys because he really is supposed to be in fifth grade to do this Junior High League but he wants the CHALLENGE he has LEARNED so much and CHALLENGING himself more. He is fitting in with the older boys just fine and they are respecting him, he has made alot of new friends. He has not had all easy matches and them are the ones he learns the most on. He LOVES ALL the coaches and LISTENS to everything they are teaching him. I sit at practices or meets and watch him he is like this little sponge trying to soak in every word and move they are telling him. MICK WE ARE PROUD OF YOU KEEP UP THE HARD WORK BUDDY!!

SH-- Happens

I write this story for our records

This is the comment we heard over and over after we new EVERYONE was ok!!

December is a bit of a crazy month for everyone and especially crazy on weeekends for SANTA that happens to be a helper at our house. We seem to not have a free weekend to get anything accomplished unless it happens on Sunday ( i know our bad). We all was getting ready for Church on this cold foggy morning of December 20th. Knowing the day was full of other activities with family parties Scott felt like he would not have time due to the fog to get to Logan and back for the party unless he left while we were at church. I decided that I didn't want him going alone in the fog so Shaunie and I ended up going with him. We left for Logan with a load of straw to deliver to a friend. Suprising we hit the county line and cache county was not foggy one bit. We are enjoying the ride and visiting with each other shaunie and I both tell dad to go along the creek road. He says "I would rather not, there are lots of turns and brakes lets not with this load k" ok. So we are headed down this gravel road which is pure ice come just puttin along and realize we cannot stop due to the ice and the heavy load we are getting closer to the intersection and a van is coming, Scott is turning the wheels to try and have us go into a field but the truck is not doing anything at this point we brace ourselves, hold our breath and pray that no one gets hurt. We hit the dry pavement not going really fast but the truck and trailer jack knife and the tail end of the truck hits the van. The family in the van are all ok no ambulance needed and we look at it now as a HUGE BLESSING it could of been so much worse. The van and witnesses were on there way home from church and said this happened already this morning due to that sheet of ice. We were able to get the straw unloaded quickly with close friends right there and Rod hooked up the trailer to his truck and we put our truck on it, Rod then drove us home Safely. I am so glad Scott was driving I know he did everything he could to try and avoid hitting the van but in the end When we knew everyone was ok SHIT HAPPENS right.
Not a good day for anyone

Scott got the citation for failure to yield (thanks cache county)

The family got a new van they really didn't mind. We are still dealing with insurance if they are going to total the truck or not the damage is up to $15,000 now.We don't care one way or the other we just don't really want a big truck payment this one is nearly paid for.
