SpRinG tIMe

We have had a fun but cold springtime with our calves. The excitement waiting and seeing the new calves is so much fun for our Family. We love this time of year with the new babies and there moms taking care of them. It is such a little miracle to watch and especially for Scott and I to share this experience with our kids.. The kids love it. With all the fun there always comes lots of work to be done also. Corrals to be cleaned, animals to be fed, nighttime watch just in case one cow or heifer has trouble, beds strawed and more. Our kids are such good little workers it really takes each of them doing there part to make it all happen and work for our family. They are sure to make it fair when it comes to the work nobody gets out of it. Hahahaha We love that we can share our love of agriculture with our kids and the love that they each have for it also.

These are a few of my favorite pictures of Mick he is such a good helper but he especially loves his dog BoZo. He is so proud that BoZo will dance with him and that he is the one that taught BoZo to dance. Mick has his dad's dancing feet for sure!

DONKEY BASKETBALL

We had so much fun at DONKEY BASKETBALL!! The community team, the studentbody team, the teachers team and members of the FFA team go against each other on donkeys and try to make baskets with a basketball. There are certain rules like you can only pass the ball if you are on the donkey, you can't play defense unless you are on the donkey ahahahahaha it is so hillarious everyone needs to come watch. GOOD JOB FFA!!! It is a great fundraiser for this group and great fun had by all who attend. Kirk Willie and Kyle Holden were on the community team representing GREENLINE EQUIPMENT but there was a few riders that were having to much fun and wouldn't share there donkeys :( SORRY :( Kyle we know you really wanted to ride. For sure next year you will get to!!

Bitter Sweet

Emotions have been high this past week with the loss of Grandma Bonnie. We had a great Funeral and an awesome tribute to her with LOTS and LOTS of Friends and Family that came to honor her. Grandma leaves behind a GREAT Legacy. She will be missed by all that new her.

This is some pictures at the cemetary. The palbearers were teasing Chad. He is the littlest guy and they are all so much bigger than him. They thought they were lifting the casket to high for him and teasing him that his feet were dangling. LOL Chad is always a good sport I think he probably gets his smallness from Grandma because she was smaller than him....

LOTS and LOTS of Hugs were given. We had family from all over come to Grandmas Funeral... Montana, California, Florida, Colorado, Texas, Idaho, Arizona and all over Utah. Grandma would have been so proud and excited to see all her family together. We were talking and saying this is and probably would be ever again the biggest family reunion we have ever had. It was fun to see all the family and sad to see them all leave.

I have to give a little business perk here on my blog. Rudd Funeral home did an AWESOME job. They are so compassionate about the needs of the families involved. They are proffesional, kind, and they are very cooperative THANKS Joe and Rachel Rudd for your service to our GRANDMA. She looked like a beautiful ANGEL..

My Grandma

Today my Grandma Bonnie passed away. She has left this life for a better one I am sure of.
Grandma was an amazing SPECIAL lady. She and Grandpa Paul had twelve children together. They first lived in Colorado and then moved to Utah. Grandma had many friends, and with 12 kids of her own she had a big family that LOVED her dearly. She was loved by all who knew her. She made friends everywhere she went. I remember everytime we would go to grandma's she would never let us go away with out taking something home even if it was an orange or banana. She was a giving grandma in every way. Grandma loved to have HUGS and KISSES. She loved to always look nice from head to toe. Grandma will be missed by us all but we are sure she and grandpa are having the best reunion ever. I sure they have found a lake to go fishing and she is hooking is line for him. Grandma WE LOVE YOU tons.Posted by Picasa

FAIRYTALE WEEKEND

Shaunie was asked to go to casey's prom in Gunnison! So obviously she got to go and we made it a girls weekend. Grandma Tamera, Grandma Debbie, Aunt Melissa, Sisters Shelby and Shaylie and Mom went.

First of all she was to meet her date in provo at 10:30 you know they do them all day dates now. They went lazer tagging, ice skating and to dinner. The rest of us went SHOPPING :) . Casey then brought her to Nephi to the Hotel and we began to help her get ready for the dance. It took all seven of us really to do this. hahahaha

Grandma Debbie said she was like a little China Doll, Grandma Tamera thought she was a princess, Melissa thought she was darling, Shaylie was in aaahhhhh, Shelby kept the laughter going in stressful moments and MOM couldn't believe her BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL. Ya the tears came also. It was a FUN weekend.

Casey was such a Gentlemen and treated Shaunie like a PRINCESS the whole time. He was so GRATEFUL to us for letting Shaunie do this and bring her down to his dance. He was so appreciative, and his family is so sweet to Shaunie.
Gunnison High did some different things than our original prom. They had every Junior go with or with out a date they all dressed up had escorts. They have a tea with Junior parents and students before the dance. They had a parents dance, Girls danced with dads, Boys danced with moms. Then all junior class did a dance that the teachers had taught them it was so fun you was really able to see the kids in there formals and we thought it was great, to let them show them off, they go to all the work to get ready, buy there formals and only enjoy it for a short minute. This way they enjoy it for longer. I don't know if all the kids liked it but for us that never seen it done this way we thought it was GREAT!

Sweet Ride

When we were done wrestling Grandpa Jim had called us to warn us of the road conditions. He had some slide offs and people driving "STUPID" between the Idaho border and Riverside. He wanted us to be careful. So we drove home with caution and came across some snow plows that were out, one was pulling off the freeway and we followed he pulled over and stopped to pick up a little wrestler in our vehicle to give him a QUICK ride (it really was a quick one about 1 mile is all). It was the best to top off the night with just winning his two matches and then to get to go for a ride in the snowplow with grandpa every one was jealous at home but mick loves to have talks with Grandpa. My dad has always been so good to encourage my kids in whatever they choose to do and always is interesting in hearing about it all. These two had a great visit. Grandpa encouraged mick to keep up with wrestling and maybe some day we could watch him in the Olympics! wow mick thought!!! Thanks Dad I love ya!!
