Box Elder County Fair

I LOVE THESE FOUR BEAUTIFUL KIDS OF OURS AND AM SO PROUD OF ALL THERE HARD WORK, DETERMINATION, RESPONSIBILITY AND

SO PROUD TO SAY THEY ARE ALL MINE

WE LOVE YOU!!

This is at the AUCTION!!
Scott is on this committee and he works so hard to collect money for this auction, not one kid will go without a paycheck for there project. He worries and worries with the hard times going on but it was so AMAZING of the support that was given it gave us goosebumps and tears to live in such a GREAT community that supports and gives back to each other..
There are so many things that go on and unnoticed things that go on at the fair.. We live in such a GREAT valley of many AWESOME supporters of the youth.. Our entire valley supports this fair and the KIDS projects We hope that it will stay this way for generations. It is AWESOME people and many Companies that always give back to the kids. We hope that things like this never get taken aways from the kids.
THANKS to GOSSNERS, Ames Constuction and GOSSNERS for buying our kids steers...
Shaylie was not sure she wanted to go through the sale with her steer, somehow with all the hours of hard work with these animals we have a tendency to get attached..
Saturday night always brings tears and sadness when we have to say goodbye

BOX ELDER COUNTY FAIR

WOW!!!

What a week of excitement and exhaustion!!

We played hard, worked hard, and played hard some more... The kids did SOOOOO GOOOOD with there animals Shaunie placed 4th, Shelby placed 11th, and Shaylie placed 14th over all ALL THREE STAR CHOICE and in the top 20 it was a great year of lots learned and lots of Fun...

Mick Got GRAND CHAMPION SHOWMAN with his Bucket calf he does such an AWESOME job at showing he is just a little natural at it... We can't wait to see him try it next year with a steer and older kids showing with him...

Shaylie got 4th over all showman she did GREAT! Shaunie and Shelby's steers were quite the butt heads for the show...Poor shelb her steer was such a puppy dog here at home and then when we got to the fair for the shows he was horrible she got stepped on, jerked around and totally wore out with 1475 lbs of steer to try and show..She hung in there and did the best she could

We had the BEST camp at the fair our White trailer trash buds were ALL a Riot of FUN!! I would say good food to share, lots of b.s. to catch up on and good entertainment with the boxing matches was a week of EXCITEMENT!

Scott and I are involved with quite a bit at the fair with the AUCTION and the PARADE OF CHAMPIONS it is always good to know we have GOOD friends to step in and HELP with whatever is needed...

THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED US AND OUR FAMILY YOU ARE THE BEST!!

PIGGY, PIGGY,

These two girls are my nieces BURKELY andMCKINNA they have showed a pig at the County Fair since they were old enough.. They keep there pigs here at our house because their neighbors really wouldn't appreciate it (NO FARM ANIMALS). They come each day and take care of there pigs, water, feed watch there weight. and walk them when needed. This year Burkely's pig has had a bruised foot(rock), he is the LUNCH Gut of the two, he really does live up to his name PIG, and he is a bit stubborn when he should be walking. Mckinna's pig has been the better of the two and seemed to cooperate better, look more better (for show) and NOW he broke his hip a few days ago and had to be slaughtered before the stinkin show... We are so sad that this happened, but mostly sad because we know first hand how good these girls have been in taking care of there animals. We have heard that there are some kids that don't do much with there fair animals until the week before the fair..gggrrrrrrr I guess that is there loss of learning life lessons in taking responsibility of a project... Which these girls can take with them forever.
